BASIC BEAD STRINGING - $25

PREREQUISITE: None

Learn how to lay out and assemble basic necklaces and bracelets. We’ll cover various stringing materials, findings and tools needed to complete a professional quality piece. Tools, crimps, practice beads and stringing material will be provided. If you have a stringing project or beads in mind, you are welcome to bring them. If not, time is provided during class to shop. This class is a great way to explore the possibilities of basic stringing so you can begin creating your own look.

BEAD KNOTTING - $25

PREREQUISITE: None

Knotting is a surprisingly simple and straight-forward skill. You’ll learn traditional knotting between each bead as well as spaced knotting (floating bead effect). You can bring beads and a clasp or choose beads during the break. Either way, we’ll help you select the right size stringing material. Tools, beads and practice silk are provided.

For those who prefer more design options and a more durable method of making the wrap bracelet, try our exclusive and super easy method. we take our projects in a Tupperware container and work on it anywhere. Bring an assortment of 4mm-6mm beads. There will be time to buy before class if you don't bring beads. These bracelets are a great way to use up your left over beads. The cord, a button and thread are provided in the price of the class.

"original" wrap bracelet - $35

PREREQUISITE: None

The "original" loomed wrap bracelets are so easy to make with a jig. In this class we provide the jig for you to keep - it's included in the price of the class, don't you love that. This is the only way to do the thread around the leather style of wrap bracelet. This is how the professional ones are made. The beads won't pop up and you won't be fighting to hold the bead in place and get the tension right. Trust us, this is the only way to go. We provided the leather and a button; you bring the beads (4mm - 6mm). If need be there will be time to chose beads in the class.

BEGINNING PEYOTE STITCH - $25

PREREQUISITE: NONE

This is a great class for the aspiring seed bead artist. You'll become familiarized with different beading threads, needles and a variety of seed beads. With this off-loom technique, you will make peyote stitch tubes for unique earrings and begin work on a flat peyote bracelet. Bring your own Delica seed beads, Nymo size "D" (preferred) or size "B", along with size 12 needles. *NOTE: Bracelet will not be completed in class.

 Embellished peyote stitch bracelets

embellished peyote stitch bracelets - $25

PREREQUISITE: beginning peyote stitch or equivalent (must be comfortable with flat, even count peyote)

Build on your basic peyote stitch skills by learning a standard embellishment technique for peyote stitch bracelets. This embellishment adds dimension and color to a simple bracelet. Needles and stringing materials are provided.

Please bring the following to class. (supplies can be purchased with the help of Beadworld Staff prior to class OR kits are available for $25)

- 3 tubes of size 8 seed beads (2 tubes for the base bracelet and 1 tube for embellishment)

- 1 tube of size 11 seed beads

- 4mm accent beads in three different colors: (COLOR #1 = 140-180 beads) (COLOR #2 = 35 - 40 beads) (COLOR #3 = 25 - 35 beads)

- Button for the closure

Learn basic macremé to make these great fashionable bracelets. You've seen these in the small boutiques and better catalogs. We will finish a bracelet in class, so you'll learn to add the findings for a professional look. Tools and practice materials are provided.

PREREQUISITE: beginning peyote stitch or equivalent (must be comfortable with flat, even count peyote)

Love the texture and color of a natural stone but don't know how to incorporate a cabochon into a necklace. Then this is the class for you. Learn how to create an elegant pendant for a strung or beaded necklace. The bezel is created utilizing a selection of seed beads and/or crystals. Needles and stringing materials are provided.

Please bring the following to class. (Supplies can be purchased with the help of Beadworld Staff prior to class.)

- 40mm x 30mm Cabochon

- 1 tube of size 11 seed beads in a darker base color (like black or brown)

- 2 tubes of Delica seed beads

 Multi-strand choker necklace

Multi-strand choker necklace - $35 (freestyle bead weaving)

This choker length necklace is a variation on the long multi-strand necklace. This variation utilizes freestyle bead weaving which allows for the incorporation of larger accent beads. It's a great way to use up left over, miscellaneous accent beads. This easy technique will creat a beautiful multi-dimensional choker necklace. Needles and strings materials are provided.

- 4-5 tubes of size 11 seed beads

- 2-3 strands of 4mm Czech fire polish beads

- 15-20 assorted accent beads (from approx. 4mm to 8mm)

- 2 beading cones
