Seed Beads

Japanese cylinder beads are a thin walled, large holed glass seed bead. The large hole allows for many passes of thread, while the cylindrical shape leads to consistency in size and shape. Japanese cylinder beads are frequently sold in size 11, known by the brand name of Miyuki Delicas, and size 8, known by the brand name Toho Treasures. We have 470 different colors of Japanese Delicas in vials, and 20 Treasures colors to choose from.

Japanese seed beads are less consistent and a little rounder than the cylinder beads, but they are still cylindrical shape and come in a large variety of colors and sizes. Japanese seed beads are most frequently found in size 6, 8, 11, and 15. We have 80 colors in size 6 Japanese seed beads, 250 colors in size 8 Japanese seed beads, and 600 colors in size 11 Japanese seed beads.

Czech seed beads are rounder than Japanese seed beads and are less consistent in size. We carry 350 colors in size 6 Czech seed beads and 330 colors in size 11 Czech seed beads by the hank. A hank of seed beads consists of 18-20, 20inch strands bundled and sold as an entire unit.

We have 75 colors in size 13 Charlottes by the hank. A hank of Charlottes is smaller than a standard hank. A Charlotte, typically size 13, but also available in size 6, 8, 11, and 15 and are cut on one side, creating a subtle twinkle on the bead. xxxxx We have 50 colors of size 12 Czech 3-cuts by the hank. We carry a wide selection of seed beads - arranged by color, so it’s so much easier to see which blue looks great with that green.
